Support Your Local Park

If you live in a climate where the weather isn't warm year round hopefully you have an indoor park to get you through those cold days. If you're anything like me, as soon as the warm weather comes around the last place that you want to be is indoors. However, we tend to forget that the people who provide us a warm spot to ride throughout the winters - the skatepark owners - still have to pay rent even when we're not there. Yeah, I know, it's hot as hell indoors and you've waited all winter just to get the chance to shred the trails or streets but don't forget about your local park. Since there's been too many parks in my area that've shut down on account that nobody shows interest in the summers, I've decided to devote atleast one day a week to going to my local indoor park. Sometimes I have the whole park to myself and sometimes there's a couple kids present. However, I feel good knowing that maybe, just maybe the park will be there when the snow comes and it's too cold to ride outside. So, show some summer love to your local indoor park every once in a while, you'll really miss them when they're gone. The photo in this blog was shot by Justin [KTS] on a warm summers evening.
