basically, recently, i became one of the older riders. i grew up being one of the younger plymouth riders who looked up to the likes of my elder peers. first off it was northern john and the plymouth street riding crew of 98. then it was tommy bowers, the tambling brothers and browny in saltash. banners and ian handscombe moved down, amazed at their skill i rode in their shadow...all a good few years older. all the time, riding with gay dave, dinny focking bleet ('ardest cont in plymuff, fastest car in plymuff) and the wembury lot. i listened to their banter and talk of how they grew up riding, was made to sit and watch old videos after old videos and loved taking shits at dave's house as he had every single ride magazine ever piled high in his on-suite. the jay miron section on his american muscle video was almost worn away. no tracking could redeem image quality. no more though. i'm now the one boring 17/18 year olds with talk of livid, nails in the coffin, soil, thunder, role models, mike griffin, castillo, troy mcmurray, the gonz, rat boy, old bike shows, jerry galley, dan price, road fools one, joe and taj, road fools two, bmx inferno, the days when we knew every word of every caption in every magazine. that's when the teens aren't comparing seat weights in web vids and wearing huge shoes with spray on jeans. so. i found thunder on google video. amazing. unbelievable. mega fast brakeless manule with no beginning or end. mozza with his signature wallride to pull up bar spin. the punk soundtrack. it brought shivers down my spine. i'm off now to search for on the downlow and shutdown. i'm not sure what i'm really getting at. well i do. i guess i'm starting to get a bit self conscious about my age. i'm going to go move to london soon, ride with marv. he's a school year older so i'll feel better about myself. here is a picture to liven up the blog. it's some poo in some snow.
