Road Fools 16 Update

Phoenix heat has been kicking into overdrive, along with the riding, despite the roasting temps. The early part Day 2 was all about a hotel pool session... the non-bike kind. Everyone received a pair of "shrink-to-fit" Levi's; basically you get them wet, let them dry, and they shrink to your body for a custom fit. So a few dudes were anxious to try it out.

After heavy delays from the pants not drying as quickly as anticipated, the Etnies rig finally pulled out of the hotel parking lot later in the afternoon, and hit the streets. Phoenix has some awesome spots, and the crew took full advantage of it. On Road Fools trips, the crew divides into a few groups to help minimize getting kicked out of spots, so sometimes you only get to hear the rumors of some bangers that went down in other groups, and maybe peep some footy. One highlight was that I heard Anthony Napolitan fired out some wild move at a famous Ratboy spot, but I won't spoil it. I did witness Kurt Rasmussen nearly meet the grim reaper face-to-face after falling straight to his back from 12 feet up on this wallride over an abyss, but fortunately survived pretty unscathed. Yesterday, a stop at the Chandler concrete bike park was hot, in all aspects.

Yep, a real bike park, where you don't have shralp dogs yelling "No Pegs!" or cops ticketing/ arresting you for riding a park. What an amazing concept.

"No skateboards"; funny at first, yet silly that bikes and skateboards can't just coexist everywhere...

The park had this clock/ thermometer that let you know just how hot it was...

After the park, KC Badger bought us to an awesome ditch that had one of the most perfect hips and cheese grater concrete, along with a few other areas of random bank to walls and ledges; where the crew proceeded to shred until dark. No one got shredded by that skin-deadly concrete either. We're in Phoenix for another day or so; there's too much good stuff still to ride. Until next update....
