Protect your Noggin Jam!

This weekend Toby Forte put on the 'Protect your noggin' jam' at the Forte's local trails in Decoy, Devon. Terrible weather for the past two weekend had forced the jam to be postponed until this weekend. The sun shone, plenty of money was raised and everyone had a good time. Firstly I would like to thank everyone that turned up, the weather was shady on Saturday and I knew it was looking doubtful. We managed to get the trails ridable on Saturday, which was an achievement on its own. The riding was mellow and everyone was just cruising and enjoying trains. When the heavens opened we decided to hold a raffle. Again to our surprise we managed to pull that off too and even raised over £200 in the process. Thats when things started getting crazy. People were offering prizes for a price - Drink a puddle= Pair of grips, Dive in the puddle = can of Red Bull, Drink tomato ketchup = free stickers...

The Jam was originally planned for Saturday but the sun was shining so Sunday saw round two. We arrived early and got the trails looking amazingly healthy (we even had to water them down). Then the riders started arriving, 'healthy' was probably not how you would have described them after Saturday nights escapades... So we got a few more lines running and the day/weekend ended up being a treat. Highlights included endless trails trains, Scott Edgworths 270's, Matt Priest, Ferret returning from Oz (especially for Jam) and the pig air.

We ended up raising a total of £630 for Headway, so thanks again to all that were present!
